Joyful at 57

Our dear president,  Rev. Dr. Armando S. Kole celebrated his 57th birthday yesterday, February 5th. It was a time to magnify God's faithfulness in his life. Friends and family, together with the CBBC Family gathered to celebrate with him.

Rev. Kole started his ministry more than 30 years ago. He has been with CBBC for most of that time. He enjoys teaching these young people and sharing the wisdom he has gained through the years. He tirelessly gives his time, effort and resources to make sure that CBBC stays true to its mission.

It is inspiring to note that as his years increase, his desire for serving God has never decreased. It is our prayer that the Lord will continue to bless him and his family with joy in serving Him.

Mid-Term

We praise the Lord for his faithfulness to us! It is already the middle of the 2nd semester of the Academic Year 2012-2013. This semester, we have a good number of enrollees; First Year – 17, Second Year – 23, Third Year – 20 and fourth year – 12. It is inspiring to note that despite their financial difficulties, they exhibit motivated and committed spirits. There are also eighty-one (81) licensed teachers who are taking units in Preschool Education. We see this as an opportunity to make a difference in their lives and be a blessing to them.

The semester will be over in a few months. As we prepare for the culmination of this Academic Year, we continue to trust the Lord for His provision and for more opportunities to expand our service to Him. He deserves all the glory!

CBBC Students Perform at the 72nd CBMA

The Convention Baptist Ministers Association held its 72nd Assembly at the University Church in Central Philippine University last January 15-17, 2012. It was attended by pastors and  workers from churches under the CPBC. It was a time to "refresh and retool" as they attended sessions on topics that answer the need in the ministry.

As part of the program, the Theological institutions were given time for creative presentations that depict the theme. This year's theme was "Healthy and Faithful Pastoral Leadership" with the text from John 10 and Matthew 25:14-30. Our fourth year students presented the theme through a shadow play. Watch the video below.

The students' presentation was an encouragement and a reminder to the ministers to take into serious consideration the D.I.E.T. they have in order to finish strong in the ministry. After the presentation, many of the spectators expressed how much they appreciated the performance.

At CBBC, students are being equipped not only to be spiritually and academically ready for the ministry, but also to explore all means for the sake of the gospel. Presentations like this give them the opportunity to maximize their gifts in creativity and grow in the talents that God has given them. More than that, they are always reminded that all victories must be brought to the feet of Jesus. And so, this one too, found its way to the throne.
